I had the great pleasure of conducting my workshop on Textured Flowers as part of the @unwggva Art Exhibition at the United Nations. The session was a wonderful blend of creativity, learning, and joyful expression. We started by exploring how to use modeling paste to build depth and dimension on the canvas, creating bold textures that give each flower a sculptural, lifelike quality. Step by step, participants learned how to shape petals and foliage using palette knives and brushes—many trying this technique for the first time.
Once the textures had set, we moved on to the painting process, where participants brought their artworks to life with a vibrant array of acrylic colors. It was truly inspiring to witness the focus, enthusiasm, and creativity in the room. Everyone approached the process with curiosity and heart, and the results were simply beautiful—each painting was unique, full of character and emotion.
What made the experience even more meaningful was the warm, supportive atmosphere we created together. We laughed, we learned, and we shared the joy of making something with our own hands. It was a powerful reminder of how art connects us beyond words. I’m grateful to each participant for their presence and energy—and I look forward to painting together again in the future!
